In 2004, Dr. Jürgen Grinninger established the consultancy BLSG after having gained valuable experience in the areas of ramp-up management, material planning and logistics with AUDI AG over a number of years. Thus, he resolved to switch to the consulting sector and to assist companies during the ramp-up phase with well-founded expert know-how. Initially set up as a one-person company, BLSG soon evolved into a growing consultancy under his leadership. The increase in staff numbers also entailed a broadening of the customer base and the range of consulting services.
In 2013 BLSG was transformed into an incorporated company, i.e. BLSG AG, with Dr. Grinninger acting as the chairman of the executive board. Prof. Dr. Willibald A. Günthner of the Lehrstuhl für Fördertechnik Materialfluss Logistik, Technische Universität München (Institute for Materials Handling, Material Flow, Logistics at Munich University of Technology) was appointed the chairman of the supervisory board.
Today, BLSG AG works for customers from Germany and abroad. Among them are both globally operating groups and medium-sized enterprises, predominantly from the automotive industry.
Besides expert knowledge in pre-production series processes and ramp-up validation, BLSG AG's core competences now also include the configuration of lean production, material supply and provision processes in line with the lean management philosophy. Moreover, the current consulting portfolio comprises the planning of material and information flows according to the JIT-/JIS-principle, the implementation of job and production control as well as the (concept) design of IT systems.
